Resident Club

Friends and Neighbors (FAN) Club

Being an active participant of the Friends & Neighbors (FAN) Club provides opportunities to meet interesting and fun people who live right here in Spring Ridge. Enjoy learning about fascinating topics at a monthly meeting, or join an interest group like our book club, Bunco groups, Chick Flick Fridays, lunch and dinner groups, beer and wine tasting groups—and more!

Where else could you gather at a neighbor’s house to enjoy the ambience of a Titanic 100th anniversary party? Or cheer on Team USA at an Olympic-themed party? Or taste wines from a local vineyard with commentary by true wine enthusiasts?

Since its founding in 1994, the FAN Club has offered Spring Ridge residents a wide range of interesting events, programs, and interest group activities. The FAN Club is a wonderful opportunity to form friendships with people you may have never otherwise met! FAN Club members also reach out to the community through various club sponsored service projects during the year.

At just $25 a year per family and low or no-cost events, the FAN Club is a great way for individuals and couples to connect with fellow Spring Ridge residents in relaxed and entertaining settings.

Here’s what a few of our members say about why they enjoy the FAN Club:

“The sincere friendships.”

“The friendships and dynamism, the activities and there’s no need to drive far.”

“Support and friends in various groups! It’s such a great club!”

“Everyone is so friendly, kind, genuine, and caring.”

“Meeting people, making friends. It’s our main social contact!”

“The book group for its discussions; I’ve read books I never would have picked myself. This widens a person’s perspective. I also love the creativity of the group—it’s amazing.”

“I like the ‘Chick Flicks.’ They are cozy movie viewings at different member’s homes. Bunco is also lots of fun; we play, but chat with friends all night!”

“Wine Tasters—I enjoy learning and tasting different wines.”

“I like small gatherings, like the Book Club and Chick Flicks, but I also love large gatherings such as the themed events and holiday parties. I also appreciate the interesting information from the socials and speakers at the Visitor’s Center.”

Sound like fun? Would you like to learn more? We meet for monthly socials featuring engaging speakers and topics on the third Wednesday of the month from September thru May at 7pm at the Visitor Center.

The socials are free and open to all Spring Ridge residents age 21 and older. In addition, the FAN Club has a wide variety of interest groups and events available to members and their families. See our monthly social announcement in the Spring Ridge Review and watch the marquee sign in front of the Visitor’s Center for meeting reminders.

Our interest groups and other activities include Community Outreach – our service group, Bunco, Book Group, Chick Flick Friday, Game Time, Themed Events, FANfare Dinner Group, Beer FANatics and WineTasters are usually held in member homes. Breakfast Club, Lunch Bunch, Ladies Night Out are at local restaurants.

Please contact our interest group chair Carol Carter at sr.fanclub.membership@gmail.com for information about any of our interest groups, events, or activities. Or just drop in to our monthly meetings at the Visitor Center.

For the 2025-26 calendar year, the Fan Club officers are:
